Step One Warm up ( 2’ )

Ss watch a song video about the rainbow.

(Purpose: Watching a video before class begins can catch Ss’ attention and make them be ready for class , it also helps them know what we will learn about today.)

Step Two Lead-in ( 4’ )

1.Free-talk.

T: Hello, boys and girls. Are you ready for my class?... Now look! I have a bag.In my bag, there is something, can you guess what it is?

S1: It’s a flower.

S2: ...

T: Now listen! (Play the recorder) What colour is it?

Ss: It’s red.

(Purpose: Showing a bag and making Ss guess is good to attract Ss’ attention. Meanwhile, we lead in the topic naturally.)

2.Ss watch the song video again. Then talk with the teacher as follows:

T: What colours do you see in the song?
