难点:能灵活运用所学句型来描述动物特征。

三、学生分析

本节课的教学对象是小学三年级的学生。他们的年龄在九岁左右，生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛、特别感兴趣。学生学英语不久，有的可能说得不好，有的还不敢说，课堂上应以表扬为主，注重培养学生学习英语的兴趣，鼓励他们大胆说、积极做、努力唱。学生们喜新好奇，求知欲强，对于新鲜的事物有着浓厚的兴趣和探究欲望。他们已经学过一些简单、常见的动物单词，如dog、cat、monkey等。同时，应抓住学生喜爱动物这一有利因素，加强对学生进行环保教育。

四、教学过程

Step 1: 热身激趣,,导入新知

1. 自由谈话。

T: Hello, boys and girls.

Ss: Hello, teacher.

T: How are you today?

Ss: Fine, thank you. And you?

T: I am fine, too. Nice to meet you.

Ss: Nice to meet you, too.

Today we have some friends ! (播放动物音效）Let’s listen and guess : who are they ? Yes ,they are ...tiger ,monkey...) where are they ? At the zoo . Yes ,they are at the zoo .Do you like them ? Ok ,today let’s go to the zoo ,and play with them .(板书课题： At the zoo.）

Let’s say hello to them ,Ok .Sing a song 播放改编的歌曲。

Step 2: 启发诱导,呈现新知

T: There are 4 animals come to our class .let’s play a guess : who are they ?

The first one : It’s a deer ,(鹿）It’s antler is not long . But it’s neck is very long .What’s it ?

Ss: It’s a giraffe.

T: Yes, it’s a giraffe. 拼读练习，小组开火车认读单词卡片。

T: You are very great.

The next one : Look at me .(模仿兔子跳）Yes, you are right , it’s a rabbit .Let’s act like a rabbit .

教师再出示兔子的图片说：Look at this rabbit.and that giraffe It’s so short（矮）It’s so tall ..板书单词 tall，short，

（接着教师出示黑白两种颜色图片，let’s guess what’s it？Look at this panda. It’s fat(强调单词fat).

The last one it has a long tail .（边说边画尾巴）然后出示一张猴子的图片，说：Look at the monkey. It’s thin(强调单词thin同时板书单词，领学生一同拼读、书写).

教师将单词“tall”和“short”，“fat”和“thin”写在黑板上，带学生读几遍，帮助学生读准读音，然后师生用“唱反调”的方法练习读单词。

出示课文插图T：Oh,Who are they ? Miss White,Zhang Peng,and Amy . They are at the zoo, what do they see ? Listen and find : Who is tall？ Who is fat and short ?(课件出示问题,播放课文动画-----学生回答问题---跟读课文，模仿读音--指名模仿练习--分角色朗读练习）

Look at Zoom, what’s he doing ?Is that right ?在动物园里面我们不能随便投喂动物，要爱护他们。

Step 3: 趣味操练，巩固新知

介绍动物园中的动物：教师依次出示熊猫、大象、猴子、兔子、小鸟等各种动物的图片,look at the bear ,it’s so big .让学生用句型“Look at ... It’s ...”介绍动物。八动物贴纸送给回答正确的同学。
