Step 2

(7’)Pre – learning: task 1

Let the Ss listen to the tape and fill in the blank;

In pairs, let the Ss retell the conversations according to the tape example.

Fill in the blank according to the tape;

Retell the conversations according to the tape example. They may use your own situations.

Step 3

(8’)While – learning: task 2

Offer the Ss 6 different situations and ask them to make a conversation in groups based on the situation showed below.

1 S2 keeps getting low marks in English and wants to improve.

2 S2 wants to buy a birthday present for his/her friend.

3 S2 wants to buy a Father’s Day present for his/her father.

4 S2 always oversleeps and wants to get up early.

5 S2 wants to improve his/her math performance.

6 S2 fails in the running test and wants to improve.

In group, make a conversation and show before the whole class.

They may use their own words but the expression of making, accepting and rejecting suggestions should be used.Step 4

(8’)While – learning

(1) Task 3: Let the Ss listen to the tape and fill in the blank and retell the conversation.

(2)Task 4: In group, let the Ss discuss the meaning of each gesture.

(3) While a group is presenting, others groups are required to retell their conversation.(1) Fill in the blank according to the tape and retell the conversation;

(2) Discuss the meaning of each gesture according to hint given. They may use your own situations.

(3) Listen to the presented group carefully and retell the conversation.Step 5

(8’)After – learning

(1) Task 5: Present the Ss a photo with a gesture and ask them to discuss and form a conversation.

(2) Ask a student in each group to imitate the gesture, and the other members of the group to form conversation using expression of making, accepting and rejecting suggestion.(1)Discuss the gesture of the based on the pictures and make a conversation about the meaning of the gesture.

(2) In group, one Ss imitate the gesture of the photo and the other make conversation with the expression learned in this lesson.Step 6
