Step 1 Lead-in
T: I learned that some of you keep pets at home, right?
Ok, it’s time for our pet show.
Students introduce their pets according to pictures or videos.

Step 2 Presentation
1. Listen and answer.
T: The students are talking about how they look after their pets. Listen to the conversation among the students, and then fill in the blanks.
2. Read in groups and talk about pet care.
Step 3 Practice
1. Make up a similar dialogue.
T: Work in pairs to talk about pet care. Use the conversation on the screen as a model.
A:Which is your favorite pet?
B:I like…best.
A:Why do you like …?
B:Because…
A: How do you look after it?
B: We can/can’t/should/shouldn’t…
2. Act the dialogue out.
