A. Goldfish

Step1 Pre-listening

1. Play a guessing game: Which animal is it?

a. He is Mr. King, most of them are afraid of him.

b. It’s black and white, it likes eating bamboo.

c. He is good at English, He always shouts ‘one, one, one’

d. She is pretty, but she can’t live without water.

2. Asking a question: Would you like to have a goldfish as a pet? and why? Let the students fill in the blankets about goldfish.

Step2 While- listening

1. First Listening:

T: Peter has more questions about goldfish. (show some questions.) now Peter is listening to a talk on goldfish and making some notes. Listen to the talk and help him check his notes to see if they are true or false..

Play the tape of A1, the students finish the exercises. If students have some difficulties, play the tape again and pause on the key words.

(活动方式:独自完成——组内互查、纠错——个人汇报)

2. Further listening:

1). T: Peter recorded the talk. Listen again and ask the students to finish the sentences.

Ask the students to predict some information before listening.

2). Play the tape for the students to listen and complete the rest blankets.
