Master the new words and sentences in the class.

Enable the students to use the new sentences to talk about animals.

教学准备

Multi-media, blackboard.

教学过程

Step 1. Lead-in

T: Do you like animals?

What animals do you know?

Step 2. Presentation

Show some pictures to learn some words of the animals.

Then read aloud the new words together.

Show some parts of the animal bodies, let students guess what are they? Then read aloud these words together.

Present more pictures of the animals, ask students to say something about them, then let students read these sentences together.

Step 3. Games

1. A guessing game: I prepared descriptions of some animals. Can you guess what are they?

2. After guessing, present pictures of tiger, lion, bear and so on. Questions: Are they dangerous? Can we keep them as pets?

3. So if you like an animal very much, you can keep it as a pet. I show you some pictures ,you can choose it from the pictures.

Pair work: What animal do you want to keep as a pet? Can you tell me why?

4. It’s time for them.

Step 4. Task

Do the exercises of Part B on Page 93.

Check the answers.

Guess: Can you guess what my favourite pet is? I show you some short phrases.

Ask one student to answer it. (It’s Eddie)

Step 5. Presentation

Eddie has a pet,read and answer the following questions:

What time is it now?

What does Eddie ask Hobo to do?
