Step 1 Lead in引入:

Watch a video about some endangered animals.

Step 2 Pr-writing 写前活动:

Memorize some information about pandas from the giant panda fact file.

(Show the spider-gram of the giant panda on the PPT.)

Guess the endangered animals from some pictures

(Asian elephant, blue whale, South China tiger, polar bear, African lion.)

Step 3 While-writing 写中活动:

Make a spider-gram about the endangered animal you have chosen.

Show five pictures-Asian elephant, blue whale, South China tiger, polar bear, African lion.

Give an example of Asian elephant’s spider-gram to help students. (on page 75)

Students will show their spider-grams of the endangered animal they chose. ( I will give the stars to the four “animal ”groups)

B Change your spider-gram into a fact file .

Show five pictures again-Asian elephant, blue whale, South China tiger, polar bear, African lion.

Give an example of Asian elephant’s fact file to help students. (on page 76)

Students will show their fact files of the endangered animal they chose. (I will give the stars to the four “animal ”groups.)
