A guessing game8 minutesShow students some descriptions about animals. Ask students to guess what animals are they.

Communicate with students and ask “ Which animal do you like? Why?”

While talking, write down some new words on the blackboard and lead students to read them.Guess what animals they are. Read the new words by themselves or after the teacher. Try to remember the spellings .Arouse students’ interests in English learning and remove the obstacles for understanding the text.Step 4

PresentationHalf a minutePresent a picture of Sunshine Zoo to tell students “ The Class 1, Grade 7 students are going on a trip to the zoo. Lead in the reading text.Step 5

Listening5 minutesShow students two questions:

Play the short video for students to watch and listen. Then ask them to answer the two questions.
