(1)To learn and remember 6 road signs.

(2)To learn how to read maps and how to show the way.

Teaching procedures

Step 1 Lead up

Show a picture of traffic coming and going, and tell them that to keep healthy, we should know some road signs when walking, riding or driving.

Step 2 Presentation and practice

1) Revise three road signs and show three more

When a driver see this sign, he knows there are crossroads in front .

He should be careful at the crossing

It’s safe to cross the road at the zebra crossing

When the light is red ,you should stop and wait

When the light turns green, it is safe to cross the road.

When the traffic light is yellow, we must wait.

show some crossroads ,and teach and practise how to walk and turn on the road

show them the expressions like :

Walk along the road , take the ... turning on then left /right

Turn right/left at the … turning

Turn left/right at the corner of the …

Walk past / to …

Step 3 Play a game “treasure hunt”

Task 1: Describle(描述) the signs and pictures

Practice some road signs and how to walk on the way and find a place

Task 2: Listen to the instructions(指示)

Listen and finish part A1

Task3: Listen and put the sentences in the correct order

Listen and finish part A2
