Step 2: Pre-task

Task 1 Look and say

Show the pictures about different kinds of rooms: kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom,dining room, study…

Task 2 Have a free talk in pairs

A: Where do you live?

B: I live in …(a house/ a flat / a building)

A: How many rooms are there in your house? What are they?

B: There’re …rooms, they are … .

A: What’s your favourite place in your house? And why do you like it best?

B: My favourite room is … , because… .

Step 3: While-task

Task1 Introduce Neil: Neil lives in … His favourite room is ...because…

Task 2 Listening: A1:Neil made a video of his house in the UK. He sent it to Simon. First, write the name of the place under each picture. Then listen to Neil and put the pictures in the right order. Write the numbers 1-6 in the box.

Task 3 A2: Listen to Neil telling more about his house. Help Simon label the things in Part A1 with the words in the box.

Task4 Listen again and do “True or False”
