Show a picture and a sentence, ask the student what the to-infinitives is for.

Ask the students to cite a few examples in which the to-infinitives is for object .

Step II Presentation

1. I asked my father _______ (buy) a computer for me. But he told me _______ (study) harder.

2. It’s Lingling’s birthday.

She invites her friends _______ (come) to her party.

She wishes them________ (have) a good time.

She advises them_________ (not be) late

Step III Introduce the use of verbs +objects + to-infinitives.

1. 带to的: ask, tell, invite, want, advise, like ,love, hate, order, get, allow, wish, warn, encourage

2. 不带to的: “五看三让二听一感觉”,即感官动词及使役动词。

Step Ⅳ Do some exercises then ask the students to write their answers on the blackboard.

2. Using in order to-infinitives for purpose

★ He stopped to ask the way. (同义句)

___ ___ __ _ _____ the way, he stopped.

★ He stayed at the school to clean the classroom.(同义句)

He stayed at the school ___ ____ ___ _____ the classroom.

__ ____ ___ _____ the classroom, he stayed at the school.

★We should make laws to protect animals. (同义句)

We should make laws ____ ___ ____ _______ animals.

___ ___ ___ _____ animals., We should make laws.
