Warming-up (5')

Play a game about verbs. (动词接龙)

设计意图:通过游戏,让学生熟悉所学动词。

Step 1 Pre-class learning test (6')

1. Guess the seasons to review what they have learned and learn the new items on Page 86.

2. Get students to underline and describe the kinds of verbs in activity A in the textbook. Check the answers on the screen.

设计意图:利用猜季节,活跃课堂,并复习旧知,学习新知。检测学生是否通过课前学习掌握了对简单句中动词的分类, 通过课本练习,了解动词词性。

Step 2.Know more about three kinds of verbs (4')

1. Match verbs and objects to know the basic usage of vi. and vt.

2.Match some linking verbs which have different parts of speech with predicative and objects.

设计意图:通过对常用系动词和及物、不及物动词的匹配练习,归纳这两种动词基本用法,实例直观展示动词词性的不唯一性。

Task 2.??Distinguish five kinds of sentence structures (17')

Step 1 Pre-class learning test ( 5' )

Describe the kinds of sentence structures of each sentence in activity A in the textbook. Arrange the answers regularly. And get students to find out the connection between part of speech and sentence structures.

设计意图:通过课本练习检查学生课前学习情况。并通过展示答案,总结归纳课本练习的规律,发现词性与句式的联系,为学生正确运用五种基本句型打好基础。

Step 2 Form sentences with the words given(8')

Make some sentences and describe the sentence structures.

Step 3 Synonymous sentences transformation(4')

Give students 4 S+V+IO+DO sentences and ask them to change the sentences into synonymous sentences.

Step 1 Long sentences(3')

Finish the task in activity B in the textbook. Explain adverbials.

Step 2 Write about seasons (10')

1. Work in groups to finish the writing about their favorite seasons and prepare to ask the class one question according to the passage.

2. Ask some groups to share the passage together.
