Teaching Procedures:

Before Class

1.Read the stories on the book and imagine what will happen

—If you are Gulliver, how will you feel and what will you do?

—If you see such a small man, what will you say to him?

—What do you think of Gulliver and the tiny men?

—If you are tiny men, what will you say?

2.Prepare the film dubbing after watching film Gulliver’s travel in groups

3. Read one of the favorite books and share a good read with others.

阅读课前,学生以小组为单位,利用教材、课外阅读书目完成任务的准备阶段,准备配音并制作名著阅读推荐卡片。

Step One: Lead-in

1. Set the scene by saying: Reading can improve our knowledge, Do you love reading?

2.Ask the students to have a free talk:

(1) Are you interested in reading books ?

(2)What story have you read recently?

(3).What do you think of the story ?

(4).Will you continue reading the story ?

从课前学生读的课外书入手,引起学生对Reading话题的兴趣;通过Free talk,学生谈论自己喜欢读的课外名著,为课堂展示做准备。

Step Two: Presentation

1. Before reading

Ask students to tell the four countries in Gulliver’s Lilliput. Students watch and choose the correct answer .
