Designing aims

Step1: Free talk

Talk about the manners in some public places like the streeet , the park , the bank and the library?

Ask like this:

What we should / shouldn’t do in the street / in the park …

这个free talk 的主要目的是复习前面从welcome to the unit 至integrated skills 所学,并慢慢引入Task 内容。

Step2: Lead-in

Watch a short video and answer this question:

Do they have good manners? Why?

用相关视频直接导入主题,激发学生的学习兴趣,营造轻松的学习氛围,同时为学生的写作提供背景知识。

Step3: Presentation

Show the students some pictures and present the six rules for table manners.

Rules 1: we should wait until everyone is ready.

Rules2:It’s impolite to talk with food in your mouth.

Rules3: Don’t eat with your mouth open.

Rules4: We should wait for everyone to finish before you leave

Rules5: Don’t make much noise while eating or drinking

Rules6:Don’t reach over someone’s plate for something.

用图片导入各种餐桌礼仪规则,形象直观,能够让学生更好地掌握所学内容,为下面的语言输出做铺垫。
