学情分析:

因为是初三年级,学生对即将要学的艺术形式已经有了一部分的了解,教材贴近学生实际生活,所以他们在编对话时也有话可说。学生对艺术比较感兴趣,加上多媒体的效果,学生的积极性可以被调动起来。

TTeaching steps:

Step 1 Warming up

1. Free talk: Do you like music?

How many art forms do you know?

2. Show some pictures of art forms.

Step 2 Finish Part A

The Class 1, Grade 9 students want to know more about art. Help them write the correct names of the different art forms in the blanks.

Step 3 Part B

1. Play the tape recorder and let the students listen and answer the following questions.

What art form does Daniel like?

Who is his favourite singer?

Why does he love him?

2.Read into halves

3. Practice

A: What art form do you like?

B: I like...

A: Really? What kind of… do you like best?

B: I prefer ….

A: Why do you love …?

B: Because...

4.Act out the dialogue

Step 4 Comic strip

Does Eddie love art too?

1.Look, listen and answer the questions.

What is Eddie doing?

Why does he stop painting?

Do you think Eddie loves art?

2. Let the students read the dialogue and act it out!
