一、教学目标和学习目标

By the end of the lesson ,students should be able to :

Act out the dialogue between Eddie and Hobo.

Know the names of different kinds of art forms.

Talk about these forms of art and share some ideas about some art forms.

二、教学重难点

Students can talk about their favourite art form in English.

三、学情分析

该学段的学生对艺术都有着浓厚的兴趣和爱好,本节课最大的特点是贴近学生的生活,容易激发学生的学习兴趣,但由于词汇及句子结构的局限性,需要教师通过多种方式展开,引导学生学会如何用英语表达对艺术的喜好态度。

Greeting: Warming up

Having a free talk with students:

(设计意图:教师通过自由对话,调动学生积极性,自然引入本课话题。)

Let's read the conversation between Eddie and Hobo, and then fill in the blanks.

Hobo asked Eddie what he (1)___doing. Eddie said he (2)_____and he (3)______art. He thought art was something (4)___________. But he suddenly(5)_______ when he saw a (6)_______ in Hobo's hand. Hobo asked Eddie why he stopped. Eddie said he had(7) ______ something more enjoyable than art.

(设计意图:通过要求学生带着问题听读Eddie 和Hobo之间简洁有趣的对话并回答问题,训练学生听力能力,进一步熟悉、了解对话内容,完成练习。)

Practice

1. Listen to the tape and repeat after it one by one. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.

2. Boys act as Eddie, and girls act as Hobo, read the dialogue aloud.

3. Team1&2 act as Eddie, and Team1&2 act as Hobo, read the dialogue emotionally.

4. Ask the students to practice the dialogue with their partners, then invite some of them to the front to act it out with suitable body language.Repeat after it one by one.
