活动过程

Step 1 Review and leading in

T: Today is Halloween Day. What do the foreigners usually do?

S: On Halloween, people in foreign countries usually use pumpkins. Children may say “trick or treat” for candies. Some people may go to the Halloween party.

T: So Luo Yi wants to go to the Halloween party with his family and friends. So he needs to find friends in their rooms. Luo Yi first goes to Ma Yuhui’s and Tie Siyuan’s rooms.

设计意图:通过罗毅同学要去万圣节宴会,去各个朋友家接朋友为线索,激发学生的兴趣,缓解学生的紧张情绪,轻松进入学习状态,为新课作铺垫。

T: There are two rooms, Ma Yuhui’s and Tie Siyuan’s rooms. Team 1 talk about Ma Yuhui’s room while Team2 talk about Tie Siyuan’s room. Can you talk about their rooms? Ask and answer and discuss the questions with your partner?

S1: Where is the computer in Ma Yuhui’s room?

S2: It’s on the desk.

S1: Where is the computer in Tie Siyuan’s room?

S2 :It’s on the floor.

S3: Ma Yuhui’s room is tidy. My room is like hers. I like her room.

S4: Ma Yuhui’s room is tidy. My room is not like hers, but it’s like Tie Siyuan’s because I don’t like tidy the room. I like Ma’s room because it’s tidy.

设计意图:此环节实质为复习和读前环节。通过学生相互对话,复习本单元目标句型。通过学生观察图片回答问题,激发学生读前储备,对房屋整洁程度的认识。

T: Luo Yi goes out of their room with them and go on to next room - Kate and Gina’s room. Kate and Gina have one room. Do you want to know their room? Today we will read a passage about their room.

S: Wonderful!

设计意图:通过罗毅同学到达Kate 和Gina两姐妹家屋子的线索,激发学生的好奇心,学生带着兴趣进入文章的阅读,润物细无声。
