1. To grasp the three elements of argumentation.

2. How to write a summary of an argumentation。

III. 教学难点:

To guide students how to write an argumentation in the form of letter.

IV. 教学辅助工具: multi-media equipments (computer, slides, PPT)

V. 教学过程:

Step1. Lead-in

T: Show the students a video about Jiangge’s case.

T: After watching the video, combined with the article that they have read, who’d like to have a try to describe the case of Jiangge in your own words briefly. ( Pick one or two students to tell the story to lead in the topic of this class writing. )

T: When you heard about this case at the first time, what was your feeling of Jiangge? What about Liuxin? (Try to guide the students to think about some adjectives to describe a person. )

Step2. Pre-writing

T: Discuss with your group members. If you were in the same situation, what would you do? to help your friend first? and why? to protect yourself first? and why? (While hearing their answers, try to guide them to know how to protect their safety when they are in danger. )

Step3. While-writing

T: Now look at the Writing task:

假如你是高三学生李华,你们班最近对江歌案进行了热烈的讨论,请你发一封电子邮件向你的外国友人Mike简单介绍一下你们班学生对这件事情的看法以及你自己的观点。

字数:110字左右。

T: OK, you may find that this is not a typical argumentation but a letter, because in the college entrance examination, most writing tasks are letters. So do you know how to write an argumentation in the form of letter. Who’d like to show your views.
