Teaching key points:

After listening,students can know some facts of drugs by drawing a chart,reasons,and dangers of taking drugs through discussion and know how to get away from drugs by making a mind map.

Teaching difficult points:

Students know how to make a mind map of the measures mentioned in the dialogue after listening and come up with some measures taken by us to get away from drugs.

Teaching process:

Step 1: Pre-listening

Lead-in: Play a short video --- a public service advertisement of drugs.

Aim:Through this cartoon, students know something about drugs and predict what they will learn with interest.

Step2: While-listening

Task1 Listen to part1 and make a bar chart or a pie chart of the numbers mentioned in the dialogue.

Aim:Students at different levels can learn better while listening at different speeds and show different logical minds by drawing different charts.

Task2 Listen to part2 and do some exercises. After that, discuss in groups about the reasons and dangers of taking drugs.
