教学难点是让学生把保护濒危动物的方法由口语化表达转化为描述性语言。

三、教学过程:

Step 1 Warm up:

1. Greetings

2. T: You all look great! Last class we have learned some animals. Do you know these animals? If you know, stand up and say it quickly. (一个一个出示动物的图片,学生抢答。)

T: Do you know some proverbs or sayings about these animals? Let’s play a game. (击鼓传花)

【设计意图】用击鼓传花的游戏在复习动物的同时,活跃课堂气氛,为下面的学习做好铺垫。

Step 2 Lead in:

1. T: You all did a good job. Today, we will continue to learn U7 Why do you like pandas? (Section B 2a-2c)

T: Today, we will learn another animal. Guess. It’s big. It’s strong. It has a long nose.

S: Elephants.(学生说的同时教师板书画一只大象。)

Step 3 Show the learning aims.

T:Excellent! How much knowledge do you know about the elephants?

Let’s check.

(1) All the elephants have ivory. (F)

(2) The elephants have hair. (T)

(3) All the elephants can stand upside down with their long noses. (T)

【设计意图】通过关于大象的三个冷知识,激起孩子们对大象的好奇心。进而一步步学习大象的相关内容。

Step4: Presentation

1. T: Where do the elephants live? Who knows?

S1: They live in South Africa.

S2: Thailand.

S3: Yun nan.

T: They live in South Africa, India, Thailand and Southwest China.

T:Today,we will learn elephants in Thailand.
