学情分析
该班学生英语语言应用能力一般，部分学生发音不够准确，但是学习热情高，且大部分学生喜爱体育运动，对本课时的内容（Types of sports）很感兴趣。因此可以组织各种课堂活动鼓励学生积极参与课堂，融入课堂，激发学生学习英语的兴趣和动机，让学生在玩中学,学中乐,乐中思,思中创.从而为进一步学习奠定基础.
教学过程
第一学时 教学活动

(Activity 2): Introduce different types of sports through pictures

(Activity 3): Memory challenge
Write down the English names of some sports and the Chinese names of other sports on the screen .Ask students to translate them into Chinese or English.
(Activity 4): Step Ⅲ Group competition
1. performance and Guessing
Two members from each group guess the names of the sports according to the Chinese names of the sports on the screen .one student describes the sport using body language, and the other one guess what it is.
