课堂设计指导思想：
本文的话题是关于The Olympic Games ，以欣赏2008年北京奥运会图片，激发学生的学习激情，引起学生的学习兴趣。接着展开奥运知识抢答能让学生真正参与其中。课文相对来讲比较简单明了，通过快速阅读，细节阅读和深层次阅读并辅之以适当的练习，能很好的帮助学生理解课文并能根据适当的提示来进行课文复述，最后根据学生的认知，给他们进行话题讨论。课后的概述文章主要内容能帮助他们巩固课文的内容。
Teaching aims:
具体陈述本课时要做的事及其目的，要从学生学习的角度陈述，如：
Arouse students’ interest in talking about Olympics.
Help students develop their reading ability.
Help students retell what they’ve got in the reading.
Encourage students to express their opinion on the Olympics.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
