Teaching procedures:

Step1 Revision and Lead –in

1. Play the video about Olympics in the break time then ask students:

Q1:What is the video about?

Q2:What sports events can you find in the video?

Competition: How much do you know really about Olympic Games?

Divide students into four big groups (Group1,Group2,Group3,Group4) and tell them to rush to stand up and say it out.If his answer is correct, he’ll score a point for his group.

Show some sentences about Olympics on the screen and let students to tell whether they are true or false.

(1). The Olympic Games are held every four years.

(2). The Olympic Games has lasted for more than 2,000 years.

(3). China held the Olympic Games in 2011, in Beijing.

(4). The next Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan.
