Students can understand the passage easily. And they have learned The Passive in junior school.

III.?Thinking of design:

This lesson will mainly focus on reading and speaking. Since the reading material and the grammar are not very difficult for students, how to help students use the language becomes more important. Students' activities will be from half-controlled to free talk to make sure they can use some expressions they learn in class.

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

1.Know more about different festivals around the world.

2 Find out some useful expressions which can be used to describe date, meaning, activity and food from the text.

3 Introduce a festival or a holiday by using the useful expressions.
