3.To improve the students' reading ability by scanning and skimming.

Process and methods

Use some videos in identifying what kind of music to lead in the new text to arouse the students’ interest.

During Pre-reading, the introduction of Kong Xiangdong can help students review the new words.

In While-reading, a table and some questions are used to help students find some specific information about the text.

For Post-reading, students may have a discussion to talk about what factors may have led to Kong’s success.

1. To direct the students how to cooperate with each other, help each other and learn from each other.

2. To make them understand what is music and what is music.

Teaching ﹠ Learning methods 教法和学法

1.Task-based Language Teaching

The text deals with a story of Kong Xiangdong . Pictures related to the theme will be presented by multimedia computers to further students’ understanding, which makes for the improvement of the teaching efficiency. At the same time, it also can make the students work effectively during the whole class.

2. The whole language approach

Instruct students to begin with reading the title; then get the overall perception before the detailed understanding of the article, inspiring students to participate in learning, discussion and improve their abilities of language fully.

Teaching Procedure 教学过程

Step 1 Lead-in: Ask students what kind of music are them while playing the videos.

Step2 Pre-reading: Get the students to review some new words about the dream houses through the introduction.

Step3 Fast-reading: Give the students five minutes to read the text, and then do the exercise.
