● Step 1: Lead-in （导入）
Show some familiar pictures to draw the students’ attentions to the wildlife, and bring the question:Can you see many of these animals? Lead students to realize the wildlife are endangered.
● Step 2: Reading （阅读）
1、Fast Reading （略读） Read the passage quickly and silently. Then finish task one (decide true or false)and task two (match the two parts)
Purpose:1、To help Ss get the main idea and as much background knowledge about wildlife as possible. 2、To train Ss to go through the passage quickly to get some special information neglecting other information.
2、Careful Reading （详读）deal with the passage part by part.Read each part and answer the relative questions on the screen after each part.
Purpose: To train Ss the ability of combining the skimming with scanning together.
● Step 3、Consolidation(巩固)
1、Divide the whole class into two groups,Group A and Group B.Hand out passage A to Group A and passage B for Group B.Then while Group A is reading Passage A, Group B is listening to them and try to fill in the blanks of passage A on the screen.Then do it by turns.
2、show a piece of video about WWF.While appreciating it try to fill in the blanks of the passage on the screen.
Purpose:1、to consolidate the contents of the passage and improve the reading and listening skills.2、to arouse the Ss’ enthusiasm of protecting the wildlife.
