学生对全球变暖这个话题并不陌生,其他学科也有所涉及,如:生物、地理和化学。学生对英语课上的全球变暖充满好奇。高二的学生已具有较丰富的语言知识积累和一些阅读技能。通过本节课对说明文的学习,学生的阅读技能会得到进一步提升。

Ⅲ Design ideas(设计思路)

本单元课文是以全球变暖为线索的说明文,通过一系列的活动让学生了解全球变暖这一现象的同时学会理解分析文章的篇章结构,进而形成有效的阅读策略。通过标题预测,略读、详读,培养学生理解文中具体信息、做出判断和推理、理解作者的意图、观点和态度等能力,从而达到高考的要求。另外,开展辩论鼓励学生表达自己的观点,小组合作制作海报宣传环保,在培养学生阅读技巧的同时提高他们的综合语言运用能力和环保意识。

2. Improve students’ reading ability, such as mastering the detailed information and making inference.

A video about the suffering of penguins.

Purpose: To attract students’ attention to the changes of climate.

Step 2 Prediction

Predict the main topic according to the title.

What is the main topic? (B)

A. The earth.

B. Global warming.

C. Becoming warmer doesn’t matter.

Purpose: Remind students to pay attention to the title and cultivate their ability to predict what will be talked about.
