to be concerned about the health of cloned animals and reflect the future of cloning technology .

Section 3 Key points and difficult points

Key points:

useful words and expressions concerning cloning;

comprehension of the reading text through different reading strategies;

knowledge accumulation of why cloning dinosaurs is merely a dream.

Difficult points:

to collect different opinions concerning the advantages and disadvantages of cloning.

to organize what Ss have practiced in the speaking exercise into a composition using a logical structure.II. The analysis of students As senior students, they are sensitive and dignified and experiencing a critical period of forming correct view of life and world. They intend to think independently. As for the learning methods, cooperation and communication go a long way for students to participate in class. Some students are not active in the class. So a friendly and relaxing atmosphere is needed to make students the masters of the class. It will help Ss to be successful readers, to think deeper and form positive attitudes towards their daily life. III. Teaching methods During this lesson, emphases are to be laid on:

student-centered teaching to help Ss comprehend the text through individual work, pair work, group work, class work;

activity-based teaching & task-based learning to make students get both the general idea and important details through various activities.

scene-activity teaching to establish a real scene and the interaction between the teacher and students, and thus develop students’ communicative competence.
