1)Task One: Talking about Australia from the aspects of history, geography, and animals

Designing aim: Inform the students of some information about Australia, and practice their ability of speaking English.

2)Task Two: Pre-reading (Based on the map of the Australian climate, students should further guess the animals in Australia)

Designing aim: Lead to the reading section “Australia’s Dangerous Creatures”

3) Task Three: Reading (Fast reading&Intensive reading)

Fast reading: Scan the passage and answer the corresponding questions

Intensive reading: Have a group work to fill in the blanks with the right form.

Designing aim: Improve the students’ ability of reading and using language.

Step3: Assignment (writing)

After enjoying a short movie, students will be assigned to write an email.

Designing aim: Practice the students’ abilities of writing and arranging the information from the text.

Step4: Homework

Revise the email by themselves or with others’ help, and hand in the final version tomorrow.

Intensive reading: Have a group work to fill in the blanks with the right forms.

·Not Bad: You should pay attention to the language points that you haven’t grasped very well.

·Bad: You should rectify the wrong way of using English, and try hard to make yourself better at it.七、教学板书 教学反思This lesson is designed to enhance the students’ cultural information about Australia through listening to the Australian anthem, talking about the history, geography and animals of Australia, reading the text about Australia, and writing an Email about whether to have a trip to Australia or not. Besides, in order to improve the students’ ability of using English in the right way, some tasks like filling in the blanks and writing an email are arranged to check their command of the grammatical knowledge and strengthen their communicative ability.
