Ability aims:

1. Develop the Ss’ ability of finding out mistakes.

2. Encourage the Ss to spot the relation between proofreading and composition, training their ability of comparison.

3. Enable the Ss to obtain knowledge by researching, cooperating and experiencing.

Emotional aims:

1. Help the Ss to realize everyone will make mistakes however great he /she is. When we make mistakes, don’t be too nervous.

2. Make the Ss realize it is what we can do that matters not what we worry about if we meet difficulty.

Teaching emphasis:

Master main mistakes appearing in the text and grasp the methods to correct them.

Teaching aids:

Chalk board, Multi-media, printed exercise materials

Teaching Procedures:

Step 1. Lead in (3 minutes)

1. Ask the Ss some questions about the mistakes appearing in their life. (Presenting the questions on the screen or asking the questions one by one)

(1)Have you ever made any mistakes in your everyday life?

(2) If so,What will you do if you make some mistakes in your life?

2. Let the Ss have a discussion in pairs and draw the following conclusion:

In our daily life, everyone will make a mistake, if we correct them in time , we are good fellows.

T: Please remember “One learns a language by making mistakes and correct them”. Today we are going to learn?“how to do proof reading.(show this topic on the slide)”

设计意图:毛主席的说过:“错了就改就是好同志”。在生活中我们不怕犯错误关键是我们对待错误的态度。那当我们在学习中犯了错误也是同样的道理。我们正是在犯错与纠正的过程中去学习和探索知识的。
