Teaching procedures:

Step1 lead in

Lead to the topic by listening to a song—if I were a boy

Step 2 identify two forms of “if—clause”

真实条件句

Eg. If we have chances, we can have further cooperation.

If I have another chance, I will visit China again.

虚拟条件句

Show the students some examples and ask them to discuss and conclude the usage of subjunctive mood.

Eg. If I had a great deal of money, I would buy a villa (别墅) for my parents.

If I were (be)the schoolmaster of Huangmei No. 1 Middle school, I would let (let)the students get up a little later to get a better sleep.
