Analysis of the textbook:

这是人教版新目标八年级上第七单元的第一课时，重点介绍will引导的一般将来时在各类句式中的用法，包括在there be句型中的使用，以及many, more, few, little 比较级的用法。为实现学生对这些知识掌握的熟练性，本节课的句型操练、组织对话、发表观点等紧紧围绕教学重点展开。

Analysis of the students:

这是桐城市教育局“送培下乡”活动中要求送教老师上的一节公开课。上课教师与学生第一次接触，无从知道学生的具体情况。但根据本节课的重难点及乡村学生较为害羞，不愿说的特点，教学内容由浅入深、层层递进；充分进行合作学习，鼓励学生表达观点；每一个学习过程与“说”紧密相连。

Teaching Steps:

Step 1 Watch a video about what robots can do and ask questions:

Do you love robots? Do people have robots in their homes? Will people have robots in their homes in 100 years?

Step 2 Introduce the usage and function of the future tense with “will”

肯定式：主语 + will + 动词原形

否定式：主语 + won’t + 动词原形（will not = won’t）

一般疑问句：will + 主语 + 动词原形

肯定回答：Yes，…will 否定回答: No，…won’t

特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词+will +主语+动词原形…？

Step 3 Practice

Show pictures and practice the future tense:

People will live to be 200 years in 100 years.

Kids will study on computers at home.

Will books only on computers in 100 years?

Will there only be one country?

Step 4 Revise and memorize

many-more-most much-more-most few-fewer-fewest little-less-least

Step 5 Group work

Let students compare two pictures about nowadays and future, and make dialogues to predict the future.
