1. Show students a video about future.

Ⅱ. Predict the future

T: Will people have robots in the future?

Ss: Yes, they will. / No, they won’t.

T: We don’t know what will happen in the future, but we can predict .Today, you’r a predictor. Let’s predict the future. First, Let’s predict our life. Show students some pictures.

S1: People will have robots at their home.

S2: There will be only one country.

S3: People won’t use money in the future.

S4: Books will only be on computers, not on paper.

S5:Peole will live to be 200 years old.

Ⅲ. Reading

1. Read the article about life in the future. Choose the write answers.

3. Ss try to read the article and choose the write answers .

4. Check the answers with the Ss.

Ⅳ. Predict the future of Taiyuan.

T: Just now, we predicted our life in the future. Now let’s predict the future of Taiyuan.
