Teaching steps(教学步骤)
Step 1. Lead-in(导入)
T: Think of a time when you were late for or couldn’t go to an event. What was the event? What was the reason why you were late or couldn’t go? Tell your partner the story.
Have Ss get in pairs and discuss the questions. Walk around the classroom and offer help where necessary.
Step 2. Listening Practice
T: Now listen to a conversation and write short answers to the questions.Have Ss write their own answers. Check answers as a class.
T: Now listen again and number the events in the order they happened.
Have Ss write 2-6 to put the events in the correct order (“1” is given as worked example).
