过去进行时

1. 概念: 表示过去某个时刻或过去一段时间正在进行的动作。

2. 句子结构: 主语 + was/were + doing sth. + 时间状语

3. 时间状语词: at 5:00 yesterday afternoon, at that time, then 等连用, 或者用另一动作来表示过去的时间。如:

They were playing basketball when she arrived.

While they were playing basketball, she arrived.
