Talk about the changes in my hometown-Enyang by using the comparative with the students.Then write down some important comparatives on the blackboard.Ask students to think what will learn today .

Step Two Speaking

The teacher shows some pictures and let the Ss see and talk about them by using the comparative and the superlative.The T explains when to use them and how to form the comparative and the superlative.In this part,the teacher can ask the students work together or individually.If the teacher find the students makes some mistakes ,the teacher should correct them in time .

Step Three Summing up the rules

The teacher can lead the students to sum up the rules. First,sum up the rules about the regular adjectives.Then show a chart to the students to make them understand the regular rules and give them two minutes to memory the rulers.

Show some irregular adjectives and ask the students to complete the comparative and the superlative.

Step Four Practicing

Explain how to use the comparative and give some examples.Then do exercise “I can do better.” A few minutes later check the answers one by one.

Explain how to use the superlative and give some examples .Then do exercise “Try my best.”Check the answers.

Point out the difficult points.

Step Five summing up

Sum up how to form the comparative and the superlative,how to use the comparative and the superlative.

Encourage the students to study English ,and their English will be better and better.

Step Six Homework

Grasp the grammar and do the exercises in the exercise book.
