Step2. Revision:

The sentences using comparisons:

T: What’s the highest mountain in the world ?

Ss: Qomolangma.

T/Ss: Can you talk about Qomolangma using different comparison sentences?

S1: It’s the highest of all the mountains in the world.

S2: It’s higher than any other mountain in the world.

T: What’s the deepest salt lakes in the world?(Talk about the Caspian Sea/ the Sahara like this.)

Step3: Free talk:

Pandas live in China. Do you like them? Why? What do they like to eat? Do you like to know more about pandas?

Step 4: Presentation:

Show the facts about these two animals in 1a. And try to describe the elephant and the panda. (可以不用比较的句型。)

Try to use the language in the box to help you make sentences. (用表比较的句型)

Language point：

倍数表达法：倍数+比较级+than

总结规律:(1) 主语+谓语+数词+times+ more than +被比较的内容。

（2）主语+谓语+数词+times+ as+形容词+as+被比较的内容(教师板书)

尽量用倍数句型来比较两个动物。

Step5：Lead in (学生的知识面比较窄，需要老师给适当的补充)

A: A baby panda cannot see.

B: An adult panda weighs many times more than a baby panda.
