四.教学过程:

Step 1 Preparation

1.问候:Have a fee talk with students.

2.让学生欣赏一个电影，复习以前的句型导入新课 T :What is the most important character in this movie?

S: A panda….

T: Do you like pandas?

S:Yes,we do.

Step 2 Presentation

1.展示图片，引导学生描述熊猫的基本特征。

An adult panda is about 150 cm tall .It is standing on two legs

It weighs 100 kilos and eats 10 kilos of food a day.

2.展示一幅狮子的图片，让学生继续巩固句型,完成1a.

Step3 Practice

1.利用图片及相关的提示，引导学生对大象和熊猫的一个特征进行比较。

This elephant weighs many times more than this panda.

This elephant weighs much more than this panda.

This panda weighs much less than this elephant..

2.展示另外的图片，陆续比较大象和熊猫的其它特征。

Step4 Production

1.展示baby panda 的照片，并对图片进行分析。

When they were born, they are very small, and they only weigh about 0.1-0.2 kilos. They are pink and they have no teeth.

2.完成1a.1c的任务。

3.做一个听后复述，根据听力内容，完成文章填空。

4.做一个小组活动。小组内每个同学轮流说一句adult panda 和baby panda不同之处，组长将整理的结果写成一段话，在小组内交流。
