Step 1 Warming up.

Count numbers, there are 48 students and 2 teachers in the classroom. Please count from 1 to 50.

Step 2 Presentation.

1. Listen to the tape and guess what animal it is.

2.Look at the pictures and describe their weight and height or length.

First ,the teacher will make a model and then students can have a try one by one.

Step 3 Practice .

Fill in the blanks with the proper numbers.

Check the answers and read them together.

Step4 Listening task .

T:Play a tape for students.

Ss:Finish 1b,check the numbers on Page 53.

Check the answers and read them aloud.

Step5 Presentation.

Show 2 pictures of an elephant and a panda,List their height ,weight and the count of food .

Students learn to describe them .

Step6Comparation .

T: Show some pictures about the animals’ height ,weight and the count of their food. Students look at the picture and compare them.

1.Compare their height.

The elephant is taller than the panda.

The elephant is 200cm taller than the panda.

The panda is shorter than the elephant.
