Step 2:Presentation.

Show a picture having a yard sale and as“Do you know?”,then explain a yard sale to students.

Work on 1a:Look at the things at the yard sale. Do you have any of these things at home? How long have you had them?

Step 3:Practice

Listening text. Listen and check (√) the facts you hear. (1b)

Read the listening metical, and role-play.

language points:

for and since

for和since常用在现在完成时的句子中,通常回答How long 引导的疑问句。for后面引出表示一段时间的词或短语,since引出表示时间点的短语和过去时从句。

Practice:

我们学习英语已经6年了。

We have learned English for six years.

We have learned English since six years ago.

选用for和since填空:
