学情分析:

我所任教的学校地处农村,学生学习英语的环境较差,本课的教学对象为九年级学生,这一阶段的学生思维能力发展较快,自我意识增强,好奇心强,喜欢探索新鲜的事物,喜欢参与和竞赛。本课结合学生的心理特点,从激发学生的兴趣出发,从故事的角度再次唤起学生对英语的学习热情。同时九年级学生已经掌握了一定的英语基础知识,能够通过小组合作探究等学习方式,运用所学的语言基础知识自我学习,互相学习,鼓励他们主动参与教学活动,在课堂上能进入角色,真正成为学习的主体。在篇章阅读上,他们虽掌握了一定的阅读策略和技巧,但仍需要不断运用和巩固。从本单元来看,在第一课时中,学生已掌握了make的用法,并能用它来谈论对事物的感受,这也是顺利开展本课阅读活动的前提。

教学重难点:

Master the new words and phrases.

Students can understand the story and get information by reading the story.

Role-play the story and figure out the definition of happiness

教学过程:

Step 1. Review

Words and phrases.

Free talk

A: What makes you ...?

B: ... makes me ...

Purpose:复习旧知,以旧引新,多媒体呈现表情的图片,利用happy的表情让学生初步思考What makes you happy? 为新课内容做铺垫。

Step 2. Lead-in and show the learning aims.

1. The teacher asks some questions.

“Are you happy today? ”

2. Listen to music “If you are happy!”.

T: A long time ago, there was a king. He had everything, but he was not happy... Do you want to know story? OK, today we are going to learn Section A 3a. Read the language goal.

Purpose:由歌曲导入故事,激发学生的兴趣,为本课的学习故事做铺垫。

Step 3. New words.

1. Show some pictures to learn the new words.

T: Look at the picture, who is he?

Ss: …

T: Read it after me, king-king…

T: What does he have? Look at this picture, she is the king’s wife. Who is she?
