Before starting the class, I will share a video with them, then I will ask them two questions:

Why does the English man eat up all the food? Does he think the food is really delicious?

Ask them to think them over and tell them different countries have different customs, in food, clothes, lifestyle and time…

Step 2 lead-in

1. Tell them today I invite two students from different countries, they have different attitude towards time. Let’s see where they are from and what differences they have in time.

2. Introduce the position of the two countries and our China. Our new friends will tell us some more information about their motherland.

Step 3 Pre-reading

Words challenge: Match the words or phrases to the meaning according to the sentences.

Check your memory: Try to say the words when the wheel stops to check their memory of these words.

Step 4 While-reading

1 . Fast-reading: In which country is it OK to be 15 minutes late for dinner?

2. Careful-reading:
