Step 1. Warming up

创设情境引入新课(Show the physical)Ask and answer:

T: What’s this? S1:It’s a bag.

T:What’s in the bag? S1:There is an uniform.

T:Whose uniform is it? S2:Maybe it’s Lintao’s.

T:What’re these? S3:They are............

Step2.Presentation

Show the physical again and ask and guess in order to find the owner

T:Look at the shoes . Whose shoes are they?

S:Maybe they are Wangbing’s.

T:Why?

S: Because she likes wearing red shoes.And she likes red.

T:It means that it must be Wangbing’s.(板书)

2. Asking and guessing: Ask the students to look at the ppts and guessagain in order to practise the main points.(show some ppts and divide the students into different groups to discuss)

What is it ? ---It could be a vast. ﹨ It might be a face…..

What does he/she do?-- He﹨She might be a teacher﹨a nurse......

What is he﹨she doing? -- He﹨She may do....

3.Summary up the uses of “might ﹨ could ﹨ must ﹨ can”

表示推测的情态动词有must, may, could, might, can。

?1). must表示说话人对事物的推测可能性的程度非常大,意为“一定;准是”;表示有把握的否定推测时用can’t,意为“不可能”。如:

(1). I can’t find my keys. I must have left them at home.

(2). Is she Mary?

-- That can’t be her. She’s in hospital

?2). may意为“也许”。might为may的过去式,表示说话人对现在或将来不太确定的可能性的推测。如:
