1)Students can beautify a passage by using some writing skills.

2)Develop the students’ writing skills, using good phrases and sentences, different sentences patterns, connection words and proper proverbs.

1)Students can learn to work cooperatively with others

2)Students can know what to do in the future and lead them to have a positive attitude to face future.

Teaching important and difficult points:

1 Guide students to learn how to beautify a passage by using some writing skills

2 Students can use some writing skills to write a good passage by themselves.

Teaching tools:

multimedia, cell phone , computer

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up and lead in

Get the students to enjoy a video about the school life in junior high school and then answer the questions: 1) What did you see in the video?

2) What’s the most unforgettable thing you have remembered in junior high school?

Step 2 Pre-writing

1. Group work : Get the students to discuss: What advice would you give to your classmates before going to senior high school ?

2 Invite four students to share their advice in front of the class.

3 Show Jenny’s passage which is about what to do in senior high school. And guide the students to use some good writing tips to make the passage much better.

Let the students read the passage first

Guide the students to beautify the passage by using some tips, such as using good phrases and sentences, using different sentence patterns, using connection words and using proper proverbs.

Enjoy and read Jenny’s passage which is beautified .Let the students know how to beautify the passage if they want to get a higher mark in writing.

Step 3 While- writing

1 Guide the students to pay attention to some writing steps before writing.

2 Get the students to try to write a passage using some writing tips .

Step 4 Post- writing

1 Show a good passage from their classmate.(手机拍照后上传)

2 Invite two students to come to the backboard to read the passage for the whole class .

3 Let the students evaluate the student’s passage . Ask: Which sentence do you like best in this part ?
