Step 1. Warming-up

a. Greetings.

b. Sing an English song.“What are you doing?”

Step 2. Presentation and Practice

1. Learn the new sentences and five words.

(1)Presentation of the new sentence.

a. Through the picture from the song and asking the sentences “What are they doing?” The students look at the picture and answer “They are watching TV”

b. By using the phrases“watching TV”, the new sentences “What are they doing? They are ...”are led in. The teacher writes the patterns on the blackboard.

c. Practice the new patterns by playing the chain game.

(2) Learn the new phrases in the new patterns and practice them in different ways.

a. By using the new patterns to present four new phrases in different ways.

By showing the picture from the song and the new patterns ,Students learn “eating and do more practice about “eating something”.

Encourage students to connect the contents. By using the situation about “Xiongda and Xionger” ,students try to use “ eating,drinking ” and the new patterns together. Practice the pronunciation of “dr-/dr/”.

Show the wonderful video of “Xiongda and Xionger”. Students watch and answer. Practice the words “singing, dancing, sleeping”and the sentences together masterly. Pay attention to the method about how to add “ing”.

b. Train the students to use the new phrases and sentences

in the real situation correctly.

c. Play a guessing game in groups. Report 3 teams. Write down“planting a tree” to finish the blackboard design.

d. Do the writing practice and check in group.

2. Learn the new dialogues in “Listen and say”.

a. Look at the picture, learn and practice the phrase “TV tower”. Understand the situation ,ask and answer to practice the sentence“They are looking down from the TV tower”in different levels.

b. Present two questions about the situation. Ask the students to watch the picture, think and listen to the recording of Part “Listen and say” of the textbook.

c. Report the answers. Appraise together.

d. Listen again and work in groups. Do more practice about filling in the blanks according to the text in different levels.

e. Students repeat the dialogue sentence by sentence after the teacher.

f. Read the dialogue in group and try to recite. Ask some
