1.出示彩虹图片，It’s a rainbow, What color can you see? 出示卡片Teach“ orange, purple”,So many colors, Is it beautiful ?出示卡片Teach“beautiful”.
2.出示课文第一幅情景图，Look, the girl is looking at the rainbow,too.提出问题：
1）Does she like the rainbow?
2)What does she want to do?
3. 出示课文情景图，让学生仔细看图并在小组内讨论，学生说一说自己的看法。
4.播放录音，整体感知课文大意。
5.教师小结，小故事的大意。
6. 出示课文第二幅情景图，提出问题，小女孩为了变得漂亮，首先她做了什么？出示实物，teach “hat”,I have a red hat,What about you?板书句子I like my red hat.学生模仿跟读，then ask“ Do you like my red hat?”让学生用I like my…介绍自己喜欢的帽子。
7.依次出示课文情景图，以同样的方法教学orange T-shirt, green shorts, yellow skirt,并用I like..句型操练。
8. 出示课文第五幅幅情景图，At last,she put on her purple shoes,出示卡片,teach “shoes”,教师指自己鞋，say:I like my black shoes, what about you?学生用I like my…介绍自己的鞋。
9. 出示课文最后一幅幅情景图，Look,what does the girl wear?学生依次说出小女孩穿的衣物，并与彩虹的颜色进行对照，So the girl say: “ I’m beautiful,too.”
10.Ask students to open the book, read the story by themselves.
11.Play the tape, ask students to listen and? point.
12. Play the tape again, ask students to listen ,point and imitate.
