能力目标:能够听懂“正在做什么”的功能问句并能用它来描述正在进行的活动,在情境中理解现在进行时的基本句型和动词的用法,同时能在真实情景中用英语和他人就正在做的事进行交流,能正确书写本课的动词词组和现在进行时的基本句型。

1.感知现在进行时的用法。

2.请别人帮助时说: Can you help me?

3.词组和习惯用法较多,如: in the kitchen, watch TV, on the sofa.

【教学过程】

一.Lead-in

1.Introduce the teacher to the students and change greetings.

2.Ask students to look at a video clip and let them think a question: What are the monkeys doing? ─ They are jumping on the bed.

【设计意图】以上两个活动可以营造良好的学习英语的气氛,拉近师生的距离,同时活泼有趣的儿歌Five little monkeys可以将学生的兴趣立刻调动起来,为后面的教学埋下伏笔。

二.Presentation

1. Let students look at the PPT, "Who’s this? What is she doing?", encouraging them to answer: She is Cathy. She is doing her homework.

2.Free talk

T: Are you doing your homework now? When do you do your homework? Where do you do your homework? Do you do your homework late or early? Students answer, encouraging them to do their homework early.

3.Point to Cathy’s mother in the PPT.

T: Look, Where is Cathy’s mother? What is she doing? Encourage students to answer: She is cooking in the kitchen.

4.Free talk

T: Do you cook at home? Do you help your mother cook at home? What about your father? Does your father cook at home? Students answer.

5.Point to Cathy’s father in the PPT.

T: Is Cathy’s father in the kitchen? What is he doing?

Encourage students to answer: He is in the living room. He is sitting on the sofa. He is watching TV.

6. Play the PPT of the first part. Students listen and repeat.
