Each group shows what they have learnt about describing people.

1. To encourage students to learn by themselves before class.

2. To arouse students’ interest.

Step2:

Pre-listening

Activity: Match.

To show students some words about describing people’s personality and some sentences. Match the words with the sentences to find out the meaning of each word.

1. To teach the phrases which students will come across in the listening material.

2. To prepare for the discussion about who they like.

Step3:

While-listening

First listening:

1. Students look at the photo carefully.

2. Students listen to the conversations and help Sara find out her uncle and her aunt.

Second listening:

1. Students take notes while listening to the conversations again.

2. Students fill in the blanks according to the notes.

3. Check the answers.
