Step1. Warming-up and leading-in

1.Watch a video and sing.

T: Boys and girls, Let’s sing together!

设计意图:通过一首有趣的歌曲结合动感的视频引入并复习已经学过的有关房间的单词,同时激发了学生上英语课的兴趣。

2. Free talk

T: Wow! The boy’s house is very nice, do you have a nice house?

Ss: ...

T:I have a nice house,too. Do you want to see my house? Now let’s go and have a look.

设计意图:拉近与学生的距离,制造悬疑,提出问题,激发学生的好奇心和求知欲,快速的将学生引入课堂中。

Step2. New presentation

1.Study and in situation

(1)The teacher shows the pictures of her house and talk with the students.

T: Look at my new house!How many rooms are there in my house? What’s in my new house?

Ss: six...

Study the sentences patterns and drill them.

T and Ss: There are six rooms in my house.There is a dining room, there is a living room, there are two bedrooms, there is a kitchen and a bathroom,too.

(3)Study the adjectives and drill them with sentences.

T: What’s in my...? Is it big? Is it clean? Is it beautiful?

Ss:...

T and Ss: Yes, my living room is big, clean and beautiful. We can watch TV in the living room...

设计意图:创设情境,结合教师家里的图片,引导学生说出本节课的重点句型“There is/are...in the ...”并学习操练重点词汇。也为文本学习做铺垫。

2.Do the tasks

T: Now ,you see, I have a new house, it’s big, clean and beautiful.But look at this girl, it’s snowing and very cold, she has no house.What can we do? Let’s make a new, big, clean and beautiful house for her, okay?
