Part Two: Teaching process
Step 1: Revision
Read the Activity 2 in M9 Unit 1.
Books closed. The whole class retell the story in M9 Unit 1 Activity 2
Step 2: Presentation
Look at the Activity 1 and talk about it.
Listen to the tape and answer the question. The teacher says, It’s time to say goodbye. What does the alien say to Daming and Lingling?
Show the students PPT, look at the picture, ask:
What are these? They are letters.
Talk about the three pictures with the students. Then get them to close their books. Listen to the tape carefully twice, answer the questions in PPT.
Check the answers with the students one by one.
The whole class read after the tape.
